Neda Film — Amanda Livanou


Neda Film was established in Athens in 2014 by producer Amanda Livanou as a vehicle for the production of intelligent and challenging feature and documentary films, tv programs, as well as for international co-productions filmed or with Greece. In addition Neda produces commercials and corporate videos for selected clients.

Amanda has previously produced 10 feature films, including "L" by Babis Makridis (World Drama Competition, Sundance Film Festival 2012, "They Glow in the Dark", by Panagiotis Evangelidis, Winner, Best Documentary, Hellenic Film Awards 2014, "Screamin Jay Hawkins : I Put a Spell on Me", by Nicholas Triandafyllides.

Neda’s first feature film “Park” by Sofia Exarchou, in collaboration with Madants Films (Poland), premiered in Toronto FF in September 2016, went on to win the Best Director Prize at the San Sebastian FF New Director’s section and has been a big success in the festival circuit. Neda is also producing two video art pieces by Eva Stefani for documenta14, presented in Athens and Kassel, Germany in April and June 2017.

Currently in post-production are Babis Makridis’ second feature film “Pity”, and the new documentaries from Panagiotis Evangelidis and Eva Stefani. Neda is developing Filippos Tsitos' new film "Receptions", his follow up to 2011's "Unfair World" as well as the new project of Spiros Stathoulopoulos (PVC-1, Meteora).

 Amanda Livanou

Born and raised in Athens, she moved to London to study at the London School of Economics. She returned to Greece after 5 years and started working at the Filmiki Company,
one of the oldest production companies in Athens, in the production of TVCs, films and television.

From 2002 to 2004 she worked at the Greek Film Center as special advisor to the Director for international relations and special projects.
She then moved on to work as a freelance independent producer, something she has been doing for the past 12 years.

She has produced and co-produced about 15 feature films and documentaries and has also worked in numerous foreign films that were produced in Greece.
She has also produced news programmes for television and music events both for live audiences and TV broadcasting.

She is a graduate of the EAVE Producer’s Training Programme, EAVE+ and an alumni of the Sundance Producers Lab in Utah, USA (2014).
From October 2013 to December 2016 she served as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Film Academy.
She is a member of the European Film Academy .

In 2014 she created NEDA Film.

She speaks English and French.

She has been awarded for her work as a producer from the Hellenic Film Academy for the feature documentary
"They Glow in the Dark" by Panagiotis Evangelidis (Best Doc, 2014 HFA).
